In 1964, María Ángeles set up a modest Formica table in the front room of her husband "Pepito" Aquerreta’s leather workshop in Tudela. There, she began selling prêt-à-porter accessories from brands like Bottega Veneta and Enrique Loewe back in the 70's, along with decorative items and fashion complements. What started as a humble venture, driven by passion and vision, soon evolved into Aquerreta—one of northern Spain’s most iconic fashion boutiques. Together, María Ángeles and Pepito expanded the business, introducing leather goods, footwear, and eventually clothing, which became the heart of the store.

Now, six decades later, their seven children have taken the reins, keeping Aquerreta’s legacy alive while propelling it into the future. Celebrating 60 years, Aquerreta remains true to the ethos it was built on—family unity and a shared passion for fashion—making it a must-visit destination for those seeking top international brands.
